Very nice small zoo. It was closed for being under construction the day we were there but could see a few if the animals. A lot of the animals had been moved since it was under construction.
Beautifully maintained park and zoo located in a nice quaint little town. It is free to the public which is a very nice surprise. There is something for everyone especially for the kids.
Sad place to visit. It was closed so we couldnt go in, but we could see how bad it was from the outside. The water for the animals was beyond gross and the food looked like it had been there all day. Close it down and send the animals elsewhere!
I don't know how anyone can condone this zoo remaining open. The animals are kept in tiny metal and concrete cells with barely enough room to pace, let alone play. The bear is obviously neglected with dirty and matted fur. They have an arctic fox left out in the 100 degree Kansas heat with only a igloo shaped dog house to try and escape the sun. I realize that renovations are being planned, but these animals have been tortured and neglected for years in this same condition. How many more years are they going to suffer while anything new is built? If anything ever is?
Horrific conditions. These animals need to be rescued. A very sad place to visit.
